As oil and gas developments move into deep water and harsh, high temperature, high pressure subsea environments, fatigue strength, weight and high performance become critical factors. These conditions create limiting factors for oil rig, platform and subsea component design, deployment and longevity, conditions where existing steel and metal structures require constant protection, maintenance and replacement.

Magma Structures develops composite buoyancy modules, air cans, flare booms, helicopter decks, control panels, seabed component protection systems and a range of light weight carbon fibre equipment ancillaries for the oil industry.

High quality materials selection and automated manufacturing methods deliver robust all-weather capabilities, combined with high performance, corrosion and sour service resistance, flexibility and fatigue performance.

At an automated manufacturing facility on the same site Magma Global produces m-pipe, a high-performance carbon and PEEK polymer pipe designed and manufactured to meet the oil and gas industry challenges of deep water, high pressure, high temperature and sour service.
